Linked Data. A collection of principles for publishing linked, structured data. Essentially boils down to the use of URIs for identifying objects and the use of standards (such as RDF) for presenting data and metadata.

OAI-ORE. A standard vocabulary and mechanism for describing aggregations. ORE does not provide any details about the relationships between things in an aggregation, but just provides a way for saying that "this thing is an aggregation of those things". It also allows annotation of an object within the context of an aggregation.

Provenance

RDF. Resource Description Framework. A language for representing information about resources on the Web. Originally intended for metadata, now also used to publish data. A key piece of semantic web infrastructure. RDF is a triple based model, where information is represented as graphs made up of subject-predicate-object triples.
